The California Part-time Faculty Association, as one of it's Campus Equity Week activities, is sponsoring an Essay Contest for all students in the California Community College system. The subject of the 500 word essay is: "The Part-Time Teacher who made the most difference in my life." The First Prize Award is $500.00, donated by CPFA, for the best essay state-wide; individual Awards will be given for the best essay on each Campus.

TEACHERS: Please print the Contest Entry Form and distribute it to your students during CEW on your campus. Note that this Contest is open to all students in all disciplines, and that it is about content, rather than form. We want to hear their stories, however difficult or easy it is for them to tell them, and we want to honor and appreciate the subjects of those stories -- you, the teacher.
